The food was a delightful challenge for my taste buds. I also had fun feeling clueless while putting on the yukata and figuring out how to use the bath. Such a memorable experience!
Who needs English instructions anyway? Go ahead and Google everything, it adds an extra adventurous touch to your stay.

As longer term business travelers, we appreciated the incredible location in the middle of the primeval forest, offering peace and calm. The views of the forest were stunning and we loved being able to hear the babbling brook from our room. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The food was a highlight, with a multi-course traditional Japanese-style dinner that allowed us to try a wide variety of Japanese cuisine. The private spring water baths in the bathrooms were a fantastic way to experience Japanese bathing in the comfort and privacy of our own room.
Felt like treated like royalty, no complaints at all.

Nothing to complain about. Food is great. Room met what we needed. We used free parking onsite. Yusui, where you can eat, is just walking distance from the hotel.

We had a delightful stay at a traditional ryokan with a mix of modern amenities. The lobby with its high beamed ceiling and cozy fireplace created a wonderful atmosphere. Our room was comfortable with a blend of tatami mats and a regular bed. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and all the shops and temples in town. Even though we didn't have the evening meal, the traditional breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and authentic experience.

This hotel offered us a luxurious Japanese experience with its exquisite kaiseki dinner presentation and peaceful forest surroundings. The private dining room and exclusive amenities in the room were exceptional. The staff was very hospitable and catered to our every need, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay. Additionally, the location provided easy access to Nara's historic center and nearby attractions.
The air conditioning in our room was a minor issue, as it was not very effective at controlling the temperature. However, this did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the hotel.

This hotel was a hidden gem in a beautiful century-old forest. The location was secluded and peaceful, which made it easy for me to relax. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the staff was incredibly friendly and spoke English well. Additionally, the hotel facilities were superb, particularly the private dining room and the onsen.
Nothing negative to say.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable, nestled deep on the slope of a primeval forest and just a short walk away from the town area and historic center. The rooms are traditional and cozy, complete with a private dining area and spring water baths for a true Japanese experience. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and well-versed in English, making communication a breeze. Guests can enjoy a multi-course traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner for an unforgettable culinary adventure. The lobby area is atmospheric and the views of the forest from the rooms are stunning.
The hotel could benefit from providing clearer instructions in English regarding how to use certain facilities, such as the yukata or private baths.

The hotel was conveniently located near the city center and transportation. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always willing to help me with my needs. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and had a variety of options to choose from.
The hotel lacked any kind of atmosphere or ambiance. The decor was uninspiring and didn't reflect any local culture.

Wow! What a wonderful experience! This traditional Japanese inn is located in a beautiful park with lush trees and a serene river running next to it. The food is outstanding and worth every penny. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Two things that stand out are the in-room massage and the local shrines, both of which were fantastic. Its location in the heart of the city makes it perfect for exploring galleries, museums and local restaurants.
Some aspects were not great. The sleeping arrangements were not comfortable at all, but hey, it's all authentic and really added to the experience.
